I’m a millennial mental health counselor, member of the LGBTQ community, and a practitioner of African Traditional Religions/Spirituality. Growing up as a young woman in a traditional black-southern household, caused me to feel at war with my thoughts, emotions, and my sexuality. My healing journey guided me to my path of liberation through mental health awareness and counseling. I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Southern University at New Orleans. I obtained my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Southeastern Louisiana University. I am currently a doctoral student at University of Holy Cross at New Orleans.
